The Christmas celebration at our college was held on 23rd December 2025, Tuesday, from 10.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., filling the campus with joy, warmth, and festive spirit. The occasion was graced by the presence of our honourable Bishop, who served as the chief guest for the day.
The programme commenced at 10.00 a.m. with the official function. It began on a serene note with a prayer song beautifully rendered by the union member Arsha T Rachel setting the tone for the celebration. This was followed by a warm welcome address delivered by our respected Principal. The Chairman then delivered the presidential address, after which the Bishop shared an inspiring Christmas message that emphasized love, unity, and compassion. The official function concluded with felicitation, marking a dignified beginning to the celebration.
Following the formal session, the stage came alive with cultural programmes. Students enthusiastically showcased their talents through a variety of performances such as music, dance, and tableau, making the celebration vibrant and memorable. Each performance reflected creativity, teamwork, and festive cheer.
One of the most special moments for me personally was being part of the English Department’s fusion dance performance, where we blended different Christmas songs into a single presentation. I had the opportunity to perform during the third and fourth songs. Although I had learned the dance just a day prior and momentarily forgot a few steps, the performance turned out to be smooth and enjoyable. More than perfection, it was the memories created on stage that made the experience truly unforgettable—memories I will cherish for a long time.
As the Vice Chairperson, the day held even greater significance for me. I was actively involved in organizing and coordinating the programme, ensuring that arrangements were in place and the events proceeded without delay. Like any event organizer, I felt nervous before each segment—wondering whether everything would go as planned or if unexpected challenges might arise. However, each responsibility helped me grow, shaping my confidence, leadership skills, organizational ability, and interpersonal relationships. Every task contributed to moulding me into a better individual and, most importantly, a better teacher in the making.
While the celebration was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, I also reflected on areas of improvement. The only shortcoming I observed was a slight delay in scheduling, which caused minor gaps between events. This experience taught me the importance of time management, and I am determined to ensure a smoother flow in future programmes to avoid boredom and maintain audience engagement.
