Caption Writing - Prior competition for Malayalam Subject Association

As part of the  Malayalam Subject Association program that will be held on 03 Oct,Friday, a caption writing competition was conducted on September 29, Monday at 1.30 pm in the Malayalam optional classroom. A caption writing competition is usually a fun, creative activity where participants are given a picture, poster, or situation and asked to write a short, catchy, and meaningful caption for it.

Here, students were given a photograph (that was taken during our field trip) and asked them to write a catchy 2 line caption based on it. One student from each department was asked to participate and the content should not be more than 2 line. This will enhance their critical thinking and art of perception skills, thus helping them to improve their language as well as their creative thinking ability. The results will be announced during the main function, that is friday.

Thirakatha veno thirakatha....- Prior online competition for Malayalam subject association

As part of the Malayalam Subject Association activities,  was conducted to promote the habit of reading among future teachers. In this activity, students were shown scenes from different movies and were asked to identify the novel from which each movie was adapted. The aim of the program was to remind teacher trainees of the importance of reading—whether occasionally or regularly—and to encourage them to stay connected with literature. This engaging activity not only tested our knowledge but also inspired us to develop a stronger reading culture as future educators.

The game was conducted in an online mode, since the coming working days were holidays due to Pooja festival and Gandhi Jayanthi and the competitions was done through their official Instagram page. Students can poll their answers and the students who first register the correct answer will win the prize. The winners will be announced on Oct 3.

Kavile pattu malsaram- Prior game for Malayalam subject association

The Malayalam Department conducted an interesting pre-event competition called Kaavile Paattu Malasaram, where students had to identify the correct answer by listening to music played in the background. The activity was creative and engaging, encouraging participants to connect with Malayalam songs in a fun way. What made the event even more exciting was that it was conducted through an online question poll on the department’s official Instagram page, allowing many students to take part easily. This unique blend of music, culture, and technology made the competition lively and helped increase student participation and interest.

The holidays that were coming didn't became a barrier for our classmates in organizing prior games and through careful planning and organizing they were able to officially start their games section for the association. The students who poll the correct answer first will be the winner.
