On feb 16, a food fest was conducted in our college premises from 11.30 to 2 pm, with the support of teachers, management and our batch mates. The students arrived at the college early and started setting up thier stalls and did the necessary preparation for thier dishes. The time from 10- 11.30 was allocated for this preparation and official Inaguration was done by our college Principal at 11.30 am. The students enthusiastically marketed their items drawing the attention of the customers. The seminar hall was full of various aromas and students jointful collaboration and teamwork.
Our English department set up a chicken biriyani stall and we were initially doubtful whether the students and teachers will buy due to its price (150₹). But still with full confidence we bought 27 biriyani s and marketed it wholeheartedly. For our surprise, students and teachers supported our stall and apart from the 27 biriyani s, we bought extra 10 biriyani and it was also bought quickly. Our first customer was our dear Sithusha teacher and our last customer was our Principal Sir.
I thoroughly enjoyed the food fest. Each department showcased various flavours and I tried to bought atleast sn item from each department. The thing which I truly enjoyed wad the preparation time, where I got to test few items for free from my friends.
The day was filled with joy and both our tummy and heart was filled with happiness and food.
