Today’s yoga class turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of my training journey. What began as a simple physical exercise session slowly transformed into a moment of personal achievement and confidence.
We started the class with a set of basic stretching exercises. Sir guided us gently through each movement, helping our bodies loosen up and prepare for the asanas ahead. After the stretching, he introduced us to the main yoga postures included in our curriculum.
To my surprise, sir selected a few students to perform the asanas in front of the class, and I was chosen as one among them. Although I felt a little nervous, I decided to take it as an opportunity to learn and grow. We performed Naukasana, Shalabhasana, and several other asanas prescribed in the syllabus. Each posture tested my balance, flexibility, and concentration, but sir’s steady instructions kept us confident throughout.
The real challenge came next—Halasana (Plough Pose). Sir asked us to perform it one by one. This was my first time attempting Halasana, and I could feel the nervousness building up. I wasn’t sure whether I would be able to lift myself into the pose correctly. But with sir’s proper guidance and the support of my friends who encouraged me from behind, I gave it a try. To my own surprise, I was able to do it. The moment I realised I had successfully held the posture, I felt incredibly happy and proud of myself.
This experience taught me that sometimes all we need is a little courage and the right guidance to discover what we are capable of. Today’s yoga session not only strengthened my body but also boosted my confidence. I walked out of the classroom feeling energised, inspired, and grateful.
