Jaba jaba jaba.... - Prior Competition for Maths Subject Association

As part of the maths subject association, a fun and thrilling competition titled " JABA JABA JABA.... " was conducted from 1.30- 2 in maths optional classroom on Oct 15, Wednesday. Two students from each department was asked to participate and the question were  based on reasoning and critical thinking.

Reasoning questions are questions that require logical thinking rather than memorization. They evaluate how well a person can analyze information, identify patterns, draw conclusions, and solve problems.

Reasoning questions hold great significance in the professional development of B.Ed students as future teachers. They help trainee teachers move beyond rote learning and adopt a logical and reflective approach to teaching. Reasoning enhances a teacher’s ability to analyze classroom problems, understand student behaviour, and choose appropriate instructional strategies. It promotes critical thinking, clarity of thought, and sound judgment, all of which are essential qualities of an effective teacher. Reasoning questions also enable B.Ed students to interpret educational issues, evaluate diverse teaching methods, and make informed pedagogical decisions. Moreover, it strengthens their capacity to design meaningful learning experiences and frame thought-provoking questions that stimulate higher-order thinking among school students.

The winners will be announced on 17 Oct, Friday, during the main function.
