Drama fest

As part of the two-year B.Ed. curriculum, a Drama Fest was conducted on April 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. onwards at our college seminar hall. All the students were expected to participate in the event and were divided into groups. Each group was given the freedom to select a theme and present a drama based on their choice.

I was a member of the Rubicon team, which consisted of seven members from the English optional group. Our team presented a drama based on Julius Caesar, and I portrayed the character of Casca. The script was collaboratively prepared, with significant contribution from Aishwarya, under the guidance and support of all team members. Aishwarya also took on the role of the narrator. The role of Caesar was performed by Anandu, Brutus by Anjali, Mark Antony by Alan, Calpurnia by Christy, and Cassius by Anna.

Through effective planning, teamwork, and dedicated practice, we were able to deliver our performance successfully. We memorized our dialogues to ensure a natural and expressive presentation rather than relying on scripts during the performance.

In addition to our play, we also enjoyed the performances of other groups. Several dramas were presented on diverse themes, including the stories of Cinderella and Shakuntala, as well as socially relevant topics such as environmental awareness and teaching for change. All the performances were both informative and engaging.

Overall, the Drama Fest was an enjoyable and refreshing experience. It provided us with a valuable platform to showcase our talents, enhance our creativity, and build confidence through collaborative efforts.
