Coorg: Day 05

On the fifth day of our educational tour, we reached Coorg. Unfortunately, my health condition became worse because of the food poisoning I had suffered earlier. I experienced vomiting and severe stomach discomfort, which made the journey difficult and tiring for me.

Despite the health issues, we continued our sightseeing trip and visited the beautiful Harangi Dam. The place was calm and scenic, surrounded by natural beauty and fresh air. Although I was still weak, spending time there with my friends helped me feel a little better, and I was able to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Later, the group stopped for lunch. However, because many of us were still affected by food poisoning, we did not feel interested in eating much. After lunch, we travelled to the famous Namdroling Monastery, also known as the Golden Temple. The monastery was one of the most memorable places of the trip because of its peaceful environment, beautiful architecture, and spiritual atmosphere. The golden decorations and calm surroundings created a feeling of peace and relaxation.

Next, we visited a bamboo forest, where we enjoyed the cool climate and natural beauty of the area. The greenery and quiet surroundings made the experience refreshing and pleasant. We also spent some time shopping and buying a few small items and souvenirs before ending our tour activities.

Finally, after completing the sightseeing and shopping, we began our return journey back to Kerala. Although the last day of the trip was affected by illness, tiredness, and discomfort, the beautiful places we visited, the peaceful atmosphere, and the happy memories shared with friends made the journey meaningful and unforgettable.

Goa : Day 04

The fourth day of our educational tour began early in the morning. Everyone woke up and got ready by 8:30 AM, expecting to continue the journey on time. However, due to delays in arrangements, the bus started only after 9:30 AM. This once again affected our schedule and made many of us feel tired and impatient. Breakfast and other arrangements were also delayed, which added to the inconvenience. We headed towards the cruise ship and spent our morning there.

Lunch was served  around 1 PM. We were given a choice between chicken biriyani and fish thali meals. Although I wanted to try the thali, I avoided it because my stomach was already upset. Unfortunately, the food quality was poor, and several students, including some from our group, suffered from food poisoning after the meal. This became one of the major difficulties of the day and affected both the health and mood of many travellers.

After lunch, we visited the famous churches of Old Goa. The surroundings were calm, beautiful, and filled with historical importance. The architecture of the churches was impressive, and spending time there gave us a peaceful and pleasant experience. Later, we spent some time shopping and bought a few small souvenirs and items as memories of the trip.

According to the original itinerary, we were supposed to continue our journey towards the Coorg region. However, the bus management unexpectedly changed the plan and instead took us to another beach. After spending some time there, dinner was arranged nearby. Sadly, the dinner was also of poor quality, which further disappointed many of us. Throughout the trip, food arrangements remained one of the biggest problems we faced.

Later that night, we resumed our journey. Compared to the previous days, the fifth day felt less exciting because we visited only one main sightseeing destination. Even though the church visit and shopping experience were enjoyable, the poor food quality, health issues caused by food poisoning, and sudden changes in the travel plan made the day tiring and disappointing for many of us

Goa : Day 03

The third day of our educational tour began with our arrival in Goa. After reaching there, we checked into Grand W2 Hotel, where we freshened up and rested for a while after the tiring journey. Everyone was eager to explore the beauty of Goa, but the day did not go exactly as planned. Breakfast was served only around 1 PM, which made us feel exhausted and hungry. Many activities mentioned in the original itinerary could not be carried out properly because of delays and poor coordination.

Our sightseeing started with a visit to the historic Fort Aguada. The fort was impressive and offered a stunning view of the sea and surrounding landscape. The cool breeze and peaceful atmosphere made the visit enjoyable. Later, we moved to Sinquerim Fort and spent some relaxing moments near the beach, enjoying the beauty of the coastline and the pleasant surroundings.

Another delay occurred during lunchtime, which was arranged only around 5 PM. Moreover, the hotel where food was provided was located almost six kilometres away from our accommodation, making the travel tiring and inconvenient. In the evening, we were informed about a planned cruise trip, which created great excitement among everyone. Sadly, because of poor time management, we reached the location too late and the cruise had already departed. This caused disappointment among the students and resulted in complaints against the bus management.

After dinner, which ended around 11 PM, we were informed that we would visit Baga Beach. However, before reaching there, the bus stopped at Calangute Beach and we were asked to spend some time there. Most of us were not interested in staying, but since it was arranged by the management, we waited there for nearly thirty minutes.

Later at night, we finally arrived at Baga Beach. Unfortunately, due to my health issues, I remained inside the bus while my friends explored the beach. According to them, the overall experience there was not very pleasant because the behaviour of certain people around the area made many students uncomfortable. As a result, the group could not enjoy the visit as much as expected.

Around 3 AM, we returned to the hotel rooms completely tired after the long day. After freshening up, everyone went to sleep. Although the fourth day included visits to famous tourist spots and beaches, poor planning, continuous delays, and some unpleasant experiences reduced the overall enjoyment of the day.

Chikmagalaur : Day 02

On the second day of our educational tour, we checked out from our rooms in Mysuru and began our journey towards Chikkamagaluru. On the way, we stopped for breakfast and continued travelling through beautiful roads surrounded by greenery and scenic views. The pleasant atmosphere and natural beauty made the journey enjoyable.

After reaching Chikkamagaluru, we waited for the trekking jeep that had been arranged for us. Soon, we started our adventurous ride through the hills and misty landscapes. Our first stop was the famous Adiyogi Shiva Statue, which many travelers also call the Siri Statue. From there, we visited Sitalayyanagiri and later reached the breathtaking Mullayanagiri Peak, known as one of the highest peaks in Karnataka. We also explored the famous Z Point and another nearby adventure spot.

Before reaching Z Point, we stopped to have food. During the journey, we also visited a shooting point area where we saw a beautiful waterfall surrounded by mist and greenery. The entire trekking experience was exciting and refreshing because of the cool climate, thick fog, and stunning mountain views. However, I could not tolerate the extreme cold weather for long and had to return to the jeep earlier than others.

The jeep driver made the trip even more memorable with his excellent driving skills and friendly behaviour. The adventurous jeep ride through the rough roads and hills added more excitement to the journey. After completing the trekking and sightseeing, we were dropped back at the pickup point. There was a hotel nearby where we had food before continuing our journey towards Goa.

Although the day was filled with adventure and beautiful memories, the main negative experience was the food. The quality of the food was not good, and unfortunately, some members of our group, including me, suffered from food poisoning. Despite this difficulty, the misty mountains, waterfalls, trekking experience, and adventurous ride made the third day unforgettable and exciting.

Mysore : Day 01

On the first day of our educational tour, we reached Mysuru in the morning. After arriving, we first went to R2 Hotel to freshen up and have breakfast. Everyone was tired from the night journey, so the short rest and food helped us feel refreshed and energetic for the day ahead.

After breakfast, we continued our trip to the famous Payana Car Museum. The museum displayed a wide variety of vintage and modern cars along with many rare collections. The visit was very interesting, and everyone enjoyed exploring the unique vehicles and learning about their history.

Later, we had lunch and then visited the magnificent Mysore Palace. Although we did not have enough time to explore every part of the palace, its beauty, architecture, and royal appearance impressed all of us. After spending some time there, we moved to the famous Brindavan Gardens. In the evening, we watched the colorful musical light show, which made the garden look even more beautiful and attractive. It was truly a wonderful experience.

One difficulty we faced during the visit was the poor condition of the toilets there. They were not properly maintained, which caused discomfort to many students. Apart from that issue, the day went smoothly and everyone enjoyed the sightseeing.

After completing the visits, we returned to the hotel and freshened up. Later in the night, a DJ program was arranged for us. Everyone enjoyed dancing, singing, and spending fun moments together. After having dinner, we ended the second day of our trip with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Educational tour : Day 0

Our educational tour commenced from 16th to 22nd May, and our first destination was Mysore. A total of 88 students participated in the trip, accompanied by three teachers — Anju Teacher, Sreeleksmi Teacher, and Akhil Sir. We travelled in two buses, and Anju Teacher was in our bus.

The journey was originally planned to begin at 4:00 PM, but due to certain delays, our bus started only at 5:30 PM. Everyone felt a little tired after waiting for a long time, especially because the second bus arrived only around 6:00 PM. However, the excitement of the tour soon made us forget the inconvenience.

After all the arrangements were completed, both buses finally started the journey together. The atmosphere inside the bus quickly became lively with songs, conversations, laughter, and fun activities among friends. As the journey continued, we stopped at Moopanz Hotel for dinner. The food was very tasty and refreshing after the long wait and travel. I had porotta and chicken curry, which was delicious and satisfying.

After dinner, we resumed our night journey towards Mysore. The travel experience became more enjoyable as everyone shared happy moments together. Although the journey began later than expected, the cheerful company, good food, and excitement of the trip made the first day memorable and enjoyable.
